Im Rahmen unserer Kooperation mit artsy via shim artnetwork möchten wir Künstlern im Ausland die Möglichkeit eines artist in residence Aufenthalts in unserer Akademie geben.
Die Akademie der Bildenden Künste Kolbermoor befindet sich im Herzen von Bayern (Deutschland) zwischen München und Salzburg in einem alten Industriedenkmal. Das anmutig entwickelte und wiederbelebte Areal der ehemaligen Baumwollspinnerei Kolbermoor ist ein pulsierender Stadtteil mit Restaurants, Geschäften, Büros und Wohnungen.
Studierende an der Akademie Kolbermoor genießen sowohl die gute Infrastruktur der Spinnerei wie auch die landschaftlichen Begebenheiten in nächster Umgebung.
Die AdBK-Kolbermoor wurde 2014 gegründet und erfreut sich seither großer Beliebtheit und konnte schon viele große Namen der Kunstwelt anziehen.
Den Besuchern aus dem Ausland steht ein großräumiges Atelier zur Verfügung. Damit die individuellen Plätze großzügig bemessen sind, werden nur 8 solcher Plätze vergeben. Diese Plätze sind ausgestattet mit Tischen, Stühlen und Staffeleien. Zusätzlich kann an der Wand gearbeitet werden sowie am Boden.
In den übrigen Ateliers findet der gewohnte Betrieb der Akademie statt.
Für die Künstler des Programms ist eine einmalige Bildbesprechung mit einem Professor oder einer Professorin der AdBK- München geplant.
Am Ende des Programms ist ein Abend „Offenes Atelier“ geplant, um Gäste zu empfangen und Werke aus den Wochen in Kolbermoor auszustellen.
Es steht ihnen für die Zeit des Programms ein Gästezimmer mit innenliegendem Bad im Gebäude der Akademie zur Verfügung.
Die Akademie verfügt über Teeküchen und eine Gemeinschaftsküche. Zudem finden sich in fußläufigem Umfeld einige Restaurants.
Im Erdgeschoss des Gebäudes gibt es ein Geschäft für Künstlerbedarf (boesner).
Der Bahnhof Kolbermoor ist ebenfalls nur 4 Gehminuten entfernt. So können unkompliziert Ausflüge nach München oder zu anderen Zielen unternommen werden.

Kosten: 2.500 EUR
In den Kosten enthalten sind Unterkunft und Ateliernutzung sowie die Nutzung aller Gemeinschaftsflächen der Akademie.
Außerdem sind im Preis inbegriffen ein Künstlerprofil mit 10 Abbildungen auf der Plattform Artsy und eine 1-jährige Mitgliedschaft im Netzwerk Shim Art, mit der Sie sich bei allen kommenden Ausstellungen und Projekten bewerben können.
Nicht enthalten sind Kosten für Verpflegung, Reise, Transport sowie Arbeitsmaterialien.

As part of our cooperation with artsy via shim artnetwork, we would like to give artists abroad the opportunity of an artist-in-residence stay at our academy.
The Academy of Fine Arts Kolbermoor is located in the heart of Bavaria (Germany) between Munich and Salzburg in an old industrial monument. The gracefully developed and revitalized area of the former Kolbermoor cotton mill is a vibrant district with restaurants, shops, offices and apartments.
The students at the Kolbermoor Academy enjoy both the good infrastructure of the spinning mill and the scenic features in the immediate vicinity.
Established in 2014, the academy has grown in popularity, attracting many big names in the art world.
A spacious studio is available to our visitors from abroad. So that the individual places are generously dimensioned, there will be a maximum of 8 artists. These places are furnished with tables, chairs and easels. Work on the wall and on the floor is possible as well.
The usual classes of the academy take place in the other studios.
For the artists of the program a picture discussion with a professor of the AdBK Munich is planned.
At the end of the program, an "Open Studio" evening will be held to welcome guests and exhibit works from the weeks in Kolbermoor.
Guest rooms (each with bathroom) is available to the artists in the Academy building for the duration of the program.
The academy has tea kitchens and a communal kitchen. There are also a number of restaurants within walking distance.
There is an art supply store (boesner) on the ground floor of the building.
Kolbermoor train station is also just a 4-minute walk away. Excursions to Munich or other destinations can be undertaken in an uncomplicated manner.

Cost: EUR 2,500
The fees include accomodation and use of the studio and all common rooms in the academy.
Participants in the programm will receive their own artist profile with up to 10 imagis on the Artsy platform and a one-year-mebership in the Shim Art Network, which they can use to apply to all upcoming exhibitions and projects.
Not included are costs for meals, work materials, travel and transport costs.
